Obituary for David J. Jobe David Jerome Jobe, 77, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 with his family at his side. He was born on February 10, 1941 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Chester Andrew Jobe and Eula Mae (Lancaster) Jobe. David grew up in Muskogee where he attended public schools.

He proudly served his country as member of the United States Navy from which he received an Honorable discharge. David obtained his GED after his time in the Navy. He married Jeanetta Rose Cobb on December 15, 2003 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

They shared more than 21 years of life together. David worked McDonnell Douglas in Tulsa and later for Waterloo Industries as a tool and die maker. He retired in 2003 after many years of service.

He loved to fish and hunt. He won many trophies for both gun and bow shooting. David was a past member of the Green Country Bow Hunters, Oklahoma Bow Hunters, and Tulsa Archery Association.

He volunteered many hours at Jack C. Montgomery VAMC in the transport department, which he loved doing. David was active at Chandler Road Church of Christ and enjoyed attending Monday Golden Agers game nights. More than anything he loved the Lord and his family and wanted everyone to know the Lord as he did.

David was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Eula Mae Jobe; daughter, Treica Winkler; great-grandson, Hunter Winkler; and brothers, Lee Jobe, Keith Jobe, and Bob Jobe. David is survived by his wife, Jeanetta, of the home; son, David Andrew Jobe and wife Sherry of Broken Arrow; sisters, Joyce Bennight of Webbers Falls, Carolyn Voss of Benton, AR, and Mary Lou Turpin of Locust Grove; brothers, Terry Jobe of Locust Grove, OK, Tommy Jobe of Nolensville, TN, and C.A. Jobe (Chet) of Alton, MO; grandchildren, Christina Boston, Tommy Winkler, Blake Winkler, all of Muskogee, Tyler Jobe and Michael Johnson, both of Broken Arrow, Carleigh, Kaylin, Jake and Chase Littledave, all of Hulbert, Taylor and Elizabeth Cobb of Slick; 10 great-grandchildren; stepsons, Joshua Littledave of Hulbert and Christopher Cobb of Muskogee; along with other family members and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30pm, Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating David’s life will be 9AM, Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Vance Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Tommy Winkler, Michael Johnson, Blake Winkler, Tom Cotton, Tyler Jobe, and Dave Davis serving as pallbearers.
