Obituary for Paulette Jean Manus Paulette Jean McBride Manus, 49 of Muskogee, OK was born August 3, 1968 and passed away July 21, 2018. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Johnnie; son, Nicholas McBride; daughter, Jaycee Doty; stepdaughter, Izabelle Manus; mother, Sharon McBride; father, Harold McBride and Shirley McBride; sister, Tina Hans; grandchildren, Adrian and Collin McBride, Jorden, Jayden, Brett Jr. and Kaiden Doty. Nieces, Alaina Perry, Laurynn and Abby McBride; nephew, Josh McBride; brother-in-law Bob Perry; other family members and many friends.
Preceding her in death is her son, Brett Doty; sister, Anita McBride; brother, Bryan McBride; maternal grandparents, Johnnie and Susie Kelly; and paternal grandfather, Clifford McBride. Paulette loved going to gospel singings; even when she didn’t feel well and would always make time to be with her family. She liked to just take a drive to enjoy the scenery and her favorite times were just being outside and fishing with her husband Johnnie.
She also enjoyed watching Jaycee play basketball and went to as many games as she could. Her niece lovingly gave her the nickname “Aggis”. She often told a funny story about the time she caught Adrian & Alaina in the chicken coop with the baby chicks and they even had names for them.
She most definitely voiced her opinion on not liking Nick’s work…working on cell phone towers. Paulette never met a stranger and she couldn’t wait to catch up on the latest with her lifelong friends. She and her children’s father were still the best of friends.
She was a good-hearted, loving wife, mother, aunt, daughter and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. There will be a Wake service 5:30-7:30PM, Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services celebrating Paulette’s life will be 2PM, Friday, July 27, 2018 at Butler Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Daniels officiating. Interment will follow at Butler Creek Cemetery with Robert Perry Jr, Steven Thouvenel, Michael McElmurray, Sean Tiger, George Tremblay, and Quinnton Murphy serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas McBride, Brett Manus, Joshua McBride, Adrian McBride, Jorden Doty, and Larry Burell.
