Bornhoeft, 90, of East Moline, IL, died Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Park Vista Retirement Living in East Moline. Private funeral services will be held for the family at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Burial will follow at National Cemetery on Arsenal Island in Rock Island, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hampton Grace United Methodist Church. Linda was born November 25, 1928, in Casey, IL, to Charlie and Nellie Burkett Fain. On August 24, 1951, at First Christian Church, East Moline, she married Theodore Steven Bornhoeft, who preceded her in death.

Linda worked at several of the John Deere facilities, retiring from Plow Planter Works in 1984. She was a member of Hampton Grace United Methodist Church in Hampton, IL, formerly Grace United Methodist Church in East Moline. She was very active with the church, from running Sunday school lessons for her grandchildren to playing the piano faithfully each Sunday.

Linda was also a volunteer for a number of years at the Botanical Center, Trinity Medical Center, and she volunteered with Meals-On-Wheels. Survivors include daughters, Kathy Kipp of Moline, and Jane (Don) Dahlstrom of Olathe, KS; grandchildren, Alyson (Eric) Anton, Erik (Jessie) Dahlstrom, Garrett (Heidi) Kipp, and Matt Dahlstrom; and a great-grandchild, Liam Anton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and three sisters.
