Linda Sue Lane, 71, of Utah Street passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at home with her family. She was born January 29, 1948, to James and Geneva Tanner in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Linda was a kind and caring person, and loved spending quality time with her friends and family.

She will be missed and remembered always. Linda was preceded in death by her father, James Polk Tanner; mother, Geneva Elloise (Johnson) Tanner; two brothers; sister, Shirley Lane; and granddaughter, Krissy Lee Chamblee. Linda is survived by her husband, Charles Lane of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, LaDonna Sue Pather and husband, Doug of Yuma, AZ; daughter, Debra Kay Chamblee of Carlsbad, NM; son, Scott Alan Lane of Carlsbad, NM; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Tanner and wife, Mary of Carlsbad, NM; brother Dennis Tanner of Carlsbad, NM; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation has taken place, and the family have services at a different time. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
