Lloyd B. Zimmerman, 71, of Orchard Road, (Snydertown Rd) Danville, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Born June 18, 1947 in Leola, he was the son of the late Isaac N. and Alta G. (Burkholder) Zimmerman. On March 16, 1968 he married the former Verna G. Musser and they have celebrated 50 years of marriage.

A dairy farmer, he owned and operated Lloyd Zimmerman and Sons Farm in Rush Township, Northumberland County since 1977. He was a member of East District Mennonite Church, Watsontown. Surviving besides his wife, Verna Zimmerman, at home, are three sons and daughters-in-law: Nevin E. and Megan Zimmerman; Neal M. and Carrie Zimmerman; and Merle M. and Janice Zimmerman, all of Danville; three daughters and sons-in-law: Wilma M. and Rosario Luna, of Danville; Bonita M. and Dana Martin of Howard; and Paula M. and Curtis Horning of Herndon; 21 grandchildren; four brothers: Mervin Zimmerman of Denver, PA; Leroy Zimmerman of Lititz; Raymond Zimmerman of Blaine; and Elvin Zimmerman of Leola; and four sisters: Elizabeth Horst and Vera Brubaker, both of Carlisle; Katie Mae Nolt of Richland; and Ellen Weaver of Annville.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was a brother-in-law, Edwin Horst. Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM on Saturday at East District Mennonite Church, 71 East District Road, Watsontown and on Sunday from 2 to 3 PM at Revival Tabernacle, 960 Susquehanna Trail, Watsontown where the funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with Pastor Tim Stoltzfus officiating. Burial will follow in East District Mennonite Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions in Lloyd’s memory be made to Maranatha Christian School, 1485 Plotts Rd, Watsontown, PA 17777. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc, PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville. www.
