Obituary for Lois Johnston (Olomon) Garden City- Lois L. Johnston, 89, died on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City. She was born on November 5, 1928 at Garden City the daughter of Calvin & Edna (Brown) Olomon. She married Raymond R. Johnston on April 4, 1948 in Pueblo, Colorado.

He died on June 9, 2011. Lois grew up in Garden City and graduated from Garden City High School. She moved to Penrose, Colorado where she attended the Pueblo School of Cosmetology.

In 1954 they moved back to Finney County where she and her husband farmed. She was a member of the Plymell Union Church. Lois’s main interest was her family and their many activities including ballgames and rodeo’s.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 2 Sisters- Margie Thorsteinson & Eloise Hodges & Brother- Grover Olomon. She is survived by her Son- Larry & Esther Johnston of Garden City, Daughter- Betty & Preston Dew of Garden City, 5 Grandchildren- Shelley (Jason) Meier, Chad Dew, Dixie (Troy) Brunson, Kelley (Rowdy) Slavin & Torri (Billy Pillars) Dew & 9 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday at the Plymell Union Church with Pastor Ron Niday officiating.

Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 PM Monday at Garnand Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Plymell Union Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
