Lois Merrillene (Barto) Kendrick June 14, 1935 – February 12, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Lois Merrillene (Barto) Kendrick, 83, of Savanna, died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at her residence. The family will greet visitors and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Frink Baptist Church officiated by the Rev.

Monty Thompson and Rev. Kyle Cummings. Burial will follow in Savanna Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert O. Kendrick, Jordan Kendrick, Mark Atteberry, Don Capps, Haskell Melton, and Ray Shelton. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the UPS Class. Lois was born to Merrill and Minnie (Phillips) Barto on June 14, 1935 in Tulsa.

She graduated from Catoosa High School in 1952. Lois married Robert Kendrick on December 30, 1954 in Tulsa. She was a homemaker and pastor’s wife, serving churches in Blue Jacket, Savanna, Madill, Chouteau, Adamson, and Mt.

Carmel at Caney. While at Chouteau, she worked for the Bank of Commerce as a bank teller. She worked at TG&Y in Madill and also at Zebco while living in Tulsa.

Lois enjoyed going to garage sales, antiquing, and was an avid reader. She was a member of Frink Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Merrill and Minnie Barto, brother: Charles Barto, sister: Lilian Bain, and son-in-law: Fred Atteberry.

Survivors include her husband: Rev. Robert Kendrick, Sr. of the home; daughter: Debbie Bonham of McAlester; sons: Robert Kendrick, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Kingston, Don Kendrick and wife, Amye of Ardmore; daughter: Diana Carol Kendrick of Brookings, Oregon; grandchildren: Jennifer Atteberry, Mark Atteberry, Robert O. Kendrick and wife, Sunday, Jordan Kendrick and wife, Chloe, Tonya Arnold; seven great-grandchildren; sister: Evelyn Wiles of Tulsa; sister-in-law: Barbara Barto of Tulsa; and numerous other family members and friends.
