Lola B. Lingerfelt, 97, of Marietta died Monday February 18th at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday February 20th at Maple Avenue United Methodist Church in Marietta with Rev. Jim Moore officiating.

The family will receive friends 4 PM – 6 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Lola was born in Toccoa, GA to William Patton ‘WP’ & Emma Miller Smith Lingerfelt on April 10, 1921 and moved to Marietta when she was 5 years old. Lola graduated with the Class of 1939 from Marietta High School and retired from Lockheed with over 38 1/2 years of service.

Lola was a longtime active member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church and a founding member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class and she also had the claim as the oldest member of the church. Lola love to travel and she loved animals. Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lee Lingerfelt; her parents, W. P. & Emma Smith Lingerfelt; sister, Beatrice Roberts; and brother, T. S. Smith.

Survivors include her daughter, Dana Lingerfelt; and her son, Johnny Lingerfelt (Becky). The family would like to express their gratitude and love for Lola’s caregivers, Maria Telles, Mary Bibbs, Sandra Hibbs and Lorena Kemp. In lieu of flowers, the family request Donations to Maple Avenue United Methodist Church 63 Maple Avenue Marietta, GA 30064.
