Obituary for Lora A. Bertellotti Lora A. Bertellotti passed away suddenly Monday in a local hospital due to complications of diabetes. She was born in Vallejo and spent her whole life living in Benicia. Lora graduated from Sonoma State University and was a school teacher at St. Dominic’s School for more than 23 years.

She also taught sign language to the kids for their annual Christman program. In college, she studied nursing before focusing on her teaching credential. She enjoyed shopping first and foremost, playing bocce ball, swimming, and teaching swimming and lifeguarding at the Benicia pool for many years.

She is survived by her parents Al & Rae Bertellotti; brother Mike (Laurie) Bertellotti and sisters Amy (Cory) Falkner and Lisa Anderson, her cat Hercules and all the children whose lives were touched by her at St. Dominic’s School or James Lemos Pool. Visitation will be at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel after 5:00 p.m. Sunday followed by vigil services at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Dominic’s Church. Burial will be private.
