Terry L Peeler, March 03, 1951 — July 20, 2018

Obituary for Terry L. Peeler Terry passed away after a brief, yet courageous, battle with cancer at John Muir Hospital on Friday, July 20, 2018. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Tim, and his parents Howard and Violet Peeler. Terry was born in Illinois in 1951 and came to California with his family later that year.

They settled in Benicia where he graduated from Benicia High School, married his sweetheart “Sue” and together they raised two wonderful children, Tim and Heidi. Terry enjoyed a varied career in the construction business and in 1986 was most proud of his work on The Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield. In later years, Terry became the owner of Benicia’s P.S. Fabrications Inc. A man of few words, Terry was a devoted family man who adored his children and grandchildren.

He was an ardent fisherman and loved nothing better than to spend the day on his boat out on the Bay. Besides being a master craftsman, Terry was known for his prized garden from which he gladly shared the bounty with one and all. He was a lover of all sports, especially the Warriors, and in retirement became an artist, specializing in metalwork sculptures.

Terry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elaine “Sue” Szok Peeler, daughter Heidi, brothers Charles (Judith) Peeler of Fremont and Amos Peeler of Utah. Additionally, he leaves behind a daughter-in-law Shannon Osborne of Orland, CA and grandchildren, Chase Obsorne and Hannah and Max Peeler as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their children. At Terry’s request, no services were held.
