Obituary for Loretta Nietfeld Langrehr Loretta Nietfeld Langrehr Loretta Nietfeld Langrehr, 94 of Grand Island died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Tiffany Square. Services will be 10:30 AM Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church. Reverend Michael Reiners will officiate.

Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before service time at the church. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Loretta was born August 27, 1924 at Stuttgart, Arkansas, to Herman and Lennie (Sly) Heien. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church and graduated from Stuttgart High School in 1943. On December 30, 1944 she married Army Air Corp pilot, LeRoy Nietfeld.

At the end of WWII, they settled in St. Libory – rural Grand Island – establishing a dairy farm. LeRoy passed away in 1978. In 1986 she married Eldor Langrehr and they moved to Grand Island.

Eldor passed away in 1998. She and LeRoy were charter members of Peace Lutheran Church in Grand Island where Loretta served faithfully as a member of Shalom and Altar Guild. Loretta also volunteered for the Red Cross and St. Francis Hospital.

She is survived by her children: Diana (Tom) Hulme, Mesa, AZ; Betty (Warren) Lautenschlager, South Dakota; Gary Nietfeld, Mesa, AZ; Jerry Nietfeld, St. Libory, NE; and Angie (Tom) Zalewski, Dripping Springs, TX. Loretta has 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, LeRoy Nietfeld and Eldor Langrehr, and her grandson, Ron Hulme.
