Santasiero “Loving wife, mother, grandmother & sister” Mrs. Lorraine J. (Taglia) Santasiero, 79 of 70 Long Lane, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 29, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Donald A. Santasiero for 60 years. Lorraine was born in Waterbury on August 2, 1939 daughter of the late Alfred and Louise (Capaldo) Taglia.

She was a graduate of Wilby High School and was a Laser Computer Programmer for Acme Steel Rule Die Company for 40 years. She later worked at Sunshine Oil and Wesson Energy. She was a talented seamstress, a world traveler, enjoyed ceramics, loved Broadway musicals and shopping.

She was a member of the Waterbury Junior Women’s League where she served as President for 3 years. Besides her husband, Lorraine leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Wendy Anne Owen and her husband Cox, and Rebecca Faroni and Sean Inkster all of Plantsville, a brother, Joseph Taglia and his wife Pamela of Palm Beach, FL, and two grandchildren whom she adored, Alexandra and James Faroni both of Plantsville Arrangements: A funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday morning 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service.
