Ecclesiastes 3:1-2, 4 Louis Hunter affectionately known as “Big Lou” was born on January 13, 1961 to Hattie and the late Louis B. Hunter.

He attended PS 113, followed by Wadleigh Junior High and later Martin Luther King High School. Two of “Big Lou’s” favorite things to do was fishing and entertaining at a house party or family gathering with a hearty greeting and a dance. He brought joy to all who came in contact with him.

Louis was a hard worker, for 31 years he was employed by Savitt Partners located in the Garment District. Louis was a happy go lucky employee who was willing to lend a helping hand to his co-workers. On May 12, 2000, Louis was married to Edrina Mitchell and they had two children, Louis Jamel III and Lindsey Jaylen.

He was promptly called home early on the morning of April 30, 2019. Louis was preceded in death by his father, Louis B. Hunter; and his nephew, David Floyd Coleman, Jr He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Edrina Mitchell-Hunter; son, Louis Jamal Hunter; daughter, Lindsey Jaylen Hunter and his oldest daughter, Felicia Joseph; granddaughter, Brielle; his mother, Hattie Hunter; sister, Denise Coleman; brother-in law, David Coleman, Sr.; niece, Daiece Coleman; mother-in-law, Margaret Mitchell; sister-in-law, Sharon Mitchell-Terry; brother-in-law, Darryl Terry; brother-in-law, Edward Mitchell; sister-in-law, Jenel Mitchell; niece, Jazmin Simmons; niece, Paige Mitchell; nephew, Kristopher Mitchell; godmother, Leepa Anderson; and a host of family and friends.
