Obituary for Louis J. Frollo Jr. Louis J. Frollo Jr., 71, of Amsterdam, NY; passed away Saturday morning April 28, 2018 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam. Born in Amsterdam on December 7, 1946, he was the son of the late Louis J. and Josephine Petrosino Frollo Sr. Lou received his education and graduated from St. Mary’s Institute in Amsterdam. He also received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Niagara University.

Following Niagara, he began his career as a teacher at Mount Carmel Elementary School in Amsterdam, and then moved on to become an administrator at the Tryon School (DFY) in Johnstown, NY. Lastly he became a stock broker for First Albany Corporation. Louie retired early and dedicated himself to good friends, food and good spirits.

Loved ones who will greatly miss him are his wife, Patti Lou Spagnola and son, Darren (Andrea), along with five grandchildren, one sister, Anell Ford (Carl) of Cazenovia, NY; and one brother, Michael Frollo (Mary) of Tribes Hill, NY; Two nieces, Emily Frollo and Lauren Ford, and one nephew, Alex Ford. Calling hours are Thursday, April 3, 2018 from 4 to 7 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated Friday morning April 4, 2018 at 11:15 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 39 St. John Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

Memorial gifts in Lou’s name may be made to St. Mary’s Institute, 10 Kopernik Blvd. Amsterdam, NY 12010.
