Carvalho, age 90, passed away on December 30, 2018 with his family at his side. He was born to the marriage of Luis M. & Adelide Carvalho on August 15, 1928 in Dura, Portugal. He served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant.

He retired from Raytheon Portsmouth, RI as an Industrial Engineer. He married the love of his life, Dolores C. Mendes, on August 29, 1953. To this marriage was born Elaine, Marie, and Susan.

His survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Dolores; his children, Elaine Murphy & husband Joseph, Marie H. Carvalho, and Susan McClughan & husband Joseph; four grandchildren, Christopher Murphy, Ryan Murphy, Taylor Rae Carvalho, and Brittany N. Koenning & husband Stefan; and one great-grandson, Elijah L. Koenning. A Rosary service will be held at 6 PM on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, TX. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2 PM on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Sts.

Peter & Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels. Entombment will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Mausoleum.
