Mrs. Mable Mae Hunsicker, 90, of Union Hill, Franklin Township, passed away, Saturday June 2nd at her residence. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Hunsicker. Born in West Penn Township, on Saturday November 26, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Tilghman & Mary (Ohl) Miller.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a garment worker for Scotty’s Fashions, Bishop Mills, Peter Merluzzi, & Lar’s Sportswear. Mabel was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mahoning Valley. In her spare time she enjoyed Reading and spending time with her loving & caring family.

Surviving are 4 daughters, Mary Maricle of Union Hill, Joyce Hunsicker of Kunkletown, Ruth Ross of Palmerton, Cheryl Heckman of Effort, a son, Richard Hunsicker of Nashville Tennessee, 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 2 sons, Lamont, Howard, a daughter, Jean Kemmerer, a sister, Alverta Leiby, & 3 brothers, Russell T., Calvin, & Harry Miller. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 7th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 South 4th St., Lehighton with the Reverends Allison & Christopher DeForest officiating.

Call 9:30-11 a.m. on Thursday. Interment in St. John Cemetery, Mahoning Valley, Pa. Memorial Contributions in her honor may be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 826 Mahoning Drive West, Lehighton, Pa.
