Malcolm Franklin Gilliland November 19, 1925 – May 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Malcolm Franklin Gilliland went to be with the Lord on May 20th 2019 at the age of 93. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie Gilliland and his son, Donnie Gilliland. He is survived by his son, David Gilliland (Carolyn) and his grandchildren, Dana Pharo (Charles), Jennifer Lambert (Richey), Mac Gilliland (Joella), Jason Gilliland (Jessie) and Brittany Taylor.

He also has seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Malcolm was a deacon at the Baptist Church. He retired from U.S. Steel.

He and his wife were campers on a mission and worked on over 100 churches. Malcolm was a mason serving in many capacities. He was a master of Brighton Lodge #595, Globe Lodge #781 and Coldwater Lodge #188.

He was Grand Historian for the Grand Lodge in 1988. He was again appointed Grand Historian of Grand Lodge in 1995. Malcolm was a veteran, serving in the Army.

He was a kind hearted man helping others when he could. Chapel service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home. with burial following at Highland Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 22 from 5 – 7 p.m. Bro. Ben Corley and Bro. Larry Bonner will be officiating.
