Marc’s Obituary Marc Boorstein, age 63, passed away peacefully after a courageous three year fight with pancreatic cancer on January 22, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Pocono. Marc was born and raised in Philadelphia to Edward “Teddy” and Dorothy Boorstein. Marc graduated in 1973 from Olney High School in Philadelphia and earned a degree from St. Joseph University.

He spent most of his career in the timeshare and general real-estate industry after owning numerous restaurants and businesses throughout the Pocono’s, including Happy Days in East Stroudsburg. Marc’s love for people enabled him to excel in any field, and he truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as spending time with friends and family. Marc also had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.

Marc is survived by his wife Bonnie, children; Ryan and wife Kelly, Michael, Lauryn, Robert Vanthiel and wife Lauren, grandchildren; Leah, Nicholas and Ella, sister; Mona Rosenbloom, brother; Todd Boorstein and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family, friends and others whose lives Marc touched are invited to the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg on Thursday, January 24th; where the visitation will be held from 1pm to 4pm followed by a service at 4pm. A celebration of life will be held from 6pm to 8pm that evening at the Masonic Lodge, 2720 Rimrock Road, Stroudsburg PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Marc’s memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
