Margaret A. Mahaffey, 64, of Salem, formerly of Noble, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at St. Louis University Hospital. Margaret was born on July 21, 1954 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Herman and Ora Mae (Geier) Muhs. Margaret was a good cook and was known for her desserts.

She was a caretaker for the elderly at Cardinal Mound in Noble. Margaret enjoyed making crafts and would decorate her own home to the fullest. She would also help decorate friends and family’s homes to the fullest as well.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Misty Bradley and husband Frank of Olney; Significant Other, Richard Garden of Salem, IL; Grandchildren, Isaac and Avrie Bradley; Brother, Wayne (Joanne) Muhs of Bogota, IL; and a niece, Patricia, and a nephew, Robert. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Glenn Mahaffey. Memorials can be made to Richland County Recreation Council.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney. Cremation Rites will be accorded following. Burial will be at Noble Cemetery at a later date.
