OBITUARY Margaret Click Tysinger July 19, 1923 – December 16, 2018 Margaret Click Tysinger, 95, a resident of Harrisonburg passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Sentara-RMH Medical Center. She was born on July 19, 1923 in Spring Creek, VA and was the daughter of the late Walter Thomas and Sallie Catherine Miller Click. Margaret lived most of her life in Harrisonburg and was employed with Rockingham Memorial Hospital for 45 years before retiring.

She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, American Legion, Auxiliary Post #27, RMH Auxiliary, Charter member of Hose Co. #4 Ladies Auxiliary, a life member of the Virginia State Firefighters Auxiliary and a volunteer and a member of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Historical Society. Margaret loved her family, history and trains. She wrote many poems and stories and also wrote a book, Memories and Footprints of Spring Creek.

Margaret is survived by a daughter, Carolyn T. Landis of Harrisonburg; six grandsons, Michael (Diane) Landis, Thomas (P. J.) Landis, Greg (Susan) Tysinger, Kevin (Mary Beth) Tysinger, Shawn (Rachel) Tysinger, and John Tysinger; one step-granddaughter, Kathy Landis; seven great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; two sisters, Alma Long of Bridgewater and Rosalie Griffith of Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Kaye Tysinger of Bridgewater; a special friend, Judy Ritchie of Harrisonburg; and her special caregivers, Charles and Brenda Shifflett and family of Penn Laird. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Lee Tysinger, on August 11, 1950; two sons, Richard L. and David R. “Bud” Tysinger; a granddaughter, Jeanne Marie Tysinger; six brothers and three sisters.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Otterbein United Methodist Church with Rev. Adam Blagg officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.

A private graveside will be held earlier in the day. Memorial contributions may be made to Harrisonburg – Rockingham Historical Society, P. O.
