Margaret’s Obituary Margaret Loraine Freeman Koontz, age 73, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 9, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Reeds Baptist Church with Pastor Henry Watterson and the Rev. Jerry Beck officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. Mrs. Koontz was born in Pike County, Mississippi on December 4, 1945 to Aaron Freeman and Vermell Gill Freeman.

She was a member of Reeds Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed and her memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Aaron Freeman; and two sisters, Marian Ivey and Hattie Freeman.

Surviving are her loving husband of 54 years, Stanley Bryce Koontz of the home; two sons, Aaron Koontz (Jody) and Phillip Koontz (Melody) all of Lexington; her daughter, Victoria “Lori” Koontz Michael of Lexington; two brothers, Rowland Freeman (Delinda) of Fayetteville and Edward Freeman (Sharon) of Kernersville; one sister, Louise Bush of Colorado; and ten grandchildren, Marshall Wade Michael, Hannah Long, Colton Koontz, Will Koontz, Faith Koontz, Joshuah Havener, Nicholas Long, Charla Koontz, Riley Koontz, and Aidan Koontz. Memorials may be directed to the Reeds Baptist Church New Building Fund at 180 Reeds Baptist Church Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
