Nell Pierce Ward November 25, 1931 – March 06, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Nell Pierce Ward, 87, of Old Hwy 64 passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held 3pm Sunday, March 10 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Brad Treece.

Burial will follow at New Jerusalem UCC Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Ward was born on November 25, 1931 in Davidson County to Ivy Pierce and Lulu Perdue Pierce.

She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She had been very active in the Davidson County Extention Homemakers Club and served as secretary of the Silver Valley club. She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Pierce and sisters, Ruby Clodfelter and Polly Branham.

Surviving are her loving husband of 63 years, Terry Ward, of the home; sons, Todd Ward (Lori) of York, SC; Chip Ward (Susan) of Inman, SC, Tony Ward (Annette) of Matthews, NC; daughter, Lori Conrad (Lee) of Lexington, NC; and eight grandchildren; Zach Ward (Chrissy) of Charleston, SC; Morgan Ward, of Inman, SC; Will Conrad of Tucson, AZ; Kara Conrad of Lexington, NC; Jacob Ward and Ethan Ward of York, SC; Eli Ward and Emily Ward of Matthews, NC.
