Margaret Turner Cockerham September 10, 1950 – January 27, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Margaret Turner Cockerham, 68, of Summit, MS. ,was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on January 27, 2019 at University Medical Center in Jackson. A visitation and celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 5 PM until 9 PM at the Tangipahoa Baptist Church in Summit with visitation again on Thursday from 10 AM until services at 11 AM at the church.

Bro. Mike Morris and Bro. Tim Weems will officiate and burial will be Thursday at 3 PM in the Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery in Natchez, MS.

Margaret was born on September 10, 1950 in Natchez, MS. She is the daughter of the late, Kermit Patrick Turner Sr. and Mary Frances Clark Turner Dickens. She was a loving Christian wife, sister, friend, and had many “Grands” that called her Mimi and Nana.

Margaret was a devoted member of Tangipahoa Baptist Church, where she loved to serve and was a member of the choir and a Sunday school director. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her late husband, Robert “Bob” Borger. She is survived by her husband, Robert Allen Cockerham, two children, Stacy Borger Mathis (Johnny) and Robert “Robb” Borger (Tabatha), two step-children, Robert “Bob” Cockerham (Tonya) and Vernon Cockerham Sr. (Nikki); three brothers, Bruce Curlee (Kathleen), Pete Halloran (Leah) and Pat Turner, two sisters, Doris Brown and Patricia Wheat; fifteen grandchildren, Addison, Ashley, Clayton, Corey, Heather, Joanna, Kirstie, Lexie, Madison, Mandy, Mark, Matthew, Pee Wee, Paul and Zachary, thirteen great-grandchildren with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Leonard, Doug Robinson, T. Johnson, Joe Johnson, Tommy Carruth and Andy Yates.
