Marilyn Elizabeth Baker was born on May 28, 1952 in Oneonta, NY. She was the daughter of Willard and Daurice Miller and was a lifetime resident of Oneonta, NY. Marilyn went home to be with the Lord on May 24, 2018 at Bassett Medical Center surrounded by her family.

She is survived by Douglas Baker, Sr., loving husband of 47 years; father Willard Miller, three children, Douglas Baker, Jr. (Holly), Melissa Baker, and Jason Baker (Maryna); eleven grandchildren, David, Carrie, Ford, and Presley… Read More » Baker, Mikayla Hamm, Kaitlyn Hawkinson, Brieanna Baker, Minnie Webster, Anysia and Eleni Baker; four great-grandchildren, Docianna Hawkinson, Nevaeh Hawkinson, Callie Johnson, and Tyanna Mendola; and three siblings Thomas Miller, Kathy Brady, and Stephen Miller. She is predeceased by her mother, Daurice Miller and sisters Karen and Judy Miller. Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

She lived by her last name as she was known for her famous cookies. She was known as “Grandma” by many and loved to spoil her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially with the stuffed stockings at Christmas! A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018, from 11 am to 2 pm at 1033 Winney Hill Rd.

The family wishes to thank all the caregivers of At Home Care, Cancer Care Center At Foxcare, Fox Memorial Hospital and Bassett Medical Center, especially Dr. Njoku, Dr. Kramer, and all the nursing staff.
