Mark A. Taylor, age 57, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 10:43 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Mark was born June 6, 1961, in Evansville, IN, to the late Ervin E. Taylor and the late Anita L. (Davis) Steinmetz. He was in Bosse High School’s Graduating Class of 1979.

Mark was an avid fisherman who loved spending time on the Ohio River. He loved spending time with his family and many, many friends. Mark’s favorite teams that he enjoyed watching were IU Basketball and Indianapolis Colts.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Lora (Buchanan) Taylor; sisters, Sheryl Knott (Philip Mulvey) and Delores “Jeannie” Neaveill; brothers, Michael Ray Taylor and Jeffrey Scott Taylor (Melva); step-sister, Vicki Steinmetz; step-brother, Brian Steinmetz (Jill); many nieces and nephews; and dog, Lady. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Cotton Steinmetz; sister, Wanda Riley; and brother, Pete Taylor. The family would like to say a special thank you to the friends who came by to help with Mark’s care, especially Amber Knott, his good friend, Jeff Luttrell, and the VNA nurses.

Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Mike Duckworth officiating. Burial will be Private. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until service time, Thursday, June 14, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
