Martha Ann “Marti” Vaccaro (nee Windnagle), 71, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Sunday morning, May 6, 2018, surrounded by her family at the Kingston of Vermilion Nursing Home, in Vermilion, OH from cancer. She was born March 9, 1947 in Sandusky, OH. She grew up in Monroeville and attended Monroeville Schools and Sandusky High School.

She lived 43 years in Perkins Township. She loved her dogs Holly and Annie, gardening, the Cleveland Indians and playing billiards. She was a founder of both Miss Cues and Ms. Cues Pool Leagues in the Sandusky area and played for 49 years.

She owned and operated Cue-N-Ale Pub from 1977-1983 and Personal Pagers Plus from 1994-2002. She was a Life Member of the Amvets and the Amvets Auxiliary. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Parish and served on the bereavement committee She is survived by her husband of 48 years married July 27, 1969, Frank Sr., her sons Michael Johnson of Sandusky, Matthew and Rhonda Johnson of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mark and Susan Johnson of Charleston, South Carolina, daughters Amy Vaccaro of Sandusky, Jennifer Vaccaro-Bing and Thomas Bing of Sandusky and sons Frank Vaccaro, Jr. and David Reum of Cleveland, Ohio; her 11 grandchildren, Tiffany and Matthew Johnson, Scott Johnson, Ryan Sellers and Patrick Matthews, Haley Taylor, Joseph and Nicholas Bogoni, Demi and Alexis Moore and Mazzino Vaccaro, active United States Army; and six great-grandchildren; two brothers Robert Windnagle of Norwalk and Walter Windnagle of Sandusky, Sisters-In-Law Peggy Windnagle of Sandusky, Antoinette Appell of Marathon, Florida, Angela Walker of Toledo, Josephine Klotz of Hastings, Michigan, Connie Marola of Milan, Italy; Brother-In-Law Carlo Mazzi of Milan, Italy and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest P. ‘Bus’ Windnagle and Helen May Windnagle (nee Lamb), brothers John Windnagle, Ernest Windnagle and sister Marilyn Kaczorowski (nee Windnagle), and Father and Mother-In-Law Mazzino James and Marjorie Ann Vaccaro. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, from 3 – 7 p.m. at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Prayers will be recited Thursday morning, May 10, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky.
