Obituary for Mary Ann Southern Mary Ann (Goffinet) Southern, age 92, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, June 02, 2018 at the Linda E. White Hospice House. Mary Ann was born March 21, 1926 in Mt. Vernon, IN to the late Oliver and Almedia (Edwards) Goffinet.

She was a charter member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church; enjoyed traveling and had worked as a real estate agent for Emge / FC Tucker Realtors as well as in the service department for Sears. She had also earned an Associate Degree from the University of Evansville. Surviving Mary Ann are daughters, Jeanette “Jan” (Mike) Frank of Louisville, KY, Brenda (Mike) Payton of Evansville and Holly Clark of Louisville, KY; a sister, Jeannie Walker of Evansville; grandchildren, Robert Frank, Leann Pellissier, Kyle Frank, Wendy Nugent, Jeremy Spence, Brian Southern, Lori Johnson and Michael Southern and fourteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Southern in 1978; by a son, Henry Southern in 2005 and by brothers, Elsby and Oliver “Ollie” Goffinet. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Rev. Claude Burns officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:30 AM until service time at Corpus Christi Church.
