Mary Ann Taylor Wright August 30, 1945 ~ January 7, 2019 Mary Ann Taylor Wright (also known to family and friends as “Bunnie”) passed away peacefully on January 7, 2019 in Ogden, Utah at the age of 73. Mary Ann was born on August 30, 1945 in Ogden, Utah to Leon H. and Ada Vest Taylor. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1963.

In 1965, she married Joseph S. Wright in the Salt Lake Temple. She and Joe raised their five children together, until his death in 1985. After his death, she returned to school and pursued a bachelors degree in elementary education.

She continued to pursue her education and received a masters degree in education in her mid 50s. She taught at Mar-Lon Hills Elementary for 19 years and enjoyed the children she taught as well as the lasting friendships she enjoyed with her colleagues. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling and volunteering at Ogden Regional Hospital each week.

Her favorite thing about being retired was being Nana Bunnie to all her grandkids and having more time to spend with them. She is survived by her five children, John “Jay” (Rhonda) Wright, Adam (Jana) Wright, Laura Wright, Andrew (Melisa) Wright, Elizabeth (Brad) Blair; and ten grandchildren. Anna and Marie Carter have also been like her daughters over the years.

She is survived by her two sisters, Marilyn Corbridge and Lynda Jenson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Wright and her parents. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery. Many thanks to Lotus Park for the care and compassion they provided during the last year of her life, as well as Signature Hospice.

The family would like to thank the many friends and family who visited Mary Ann during the last months of her life.
