Obituary for Mrs. Mary Catherine Brown Mrs. Mary Catherine Pewitt Brown, age 89, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, June 24, 2018, at First Baptist Church. Brother Jeff Rasnick will officiate with burial to follow at Willow Mount Cemetery.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church. She was born November 21, 1928, in Franklin, Tennessee, to the late John William and Sally Givens Pewitt. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a proud wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Everette Beasley “Rock” Brown;five sisters, Vernon Herb, Mable Wright, Mildred Crowell, Ethel Pugh, and Sara Dotson; and two brothers, John Green Pewitt and Earl Pewitt. She is survived her son, William Keith Brown, of Post Falls, Idaho; two daughters, Teresa Ann Primm, of Madison, Alabama, and Karen Lynn (Kenny) Posey, of Shelbyville; two brothers, James Pewitt, of Chattanooga, and Lester Pewitt, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Alysha (Kevin) Foxworthy, Carol Bellenfant, Cameron Primm, and Kaley Brown; and four great-grandchildren, Casey Bellenfant, Corey Bellenfant, Wyatt Foxworthy, and Ava Catherine Foxworthy. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
