Obituary for Mary Veronick (Damenski) Mary D. Veronick, 95, wife of the late John Veronick, died peacefully on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Southington Care Center surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. Born in Meriden on June 27, 1922, she was the daughter of the late George and Pauline (Shostak) Damenski. She had resided in Meriden and graduated from Meriden High School and Laurel Business College.

Mrs. Veronick was employed by a local insurance company, retiring in 1947. She was a parishioner of SS Peter & Paul Orthodox Church and a member of the Saint Mary’s Ladies Society of SS Peter & Paul Orthodox Church. She is survived by one daughter, Elaine Stath; one son, Daniel Veronick; four grandchildren, Anne Whitlock, John Stath, Sharon Veronick and James Veronick; two great-grandchildren, Penelope and Jarett Stath.

She is also survived by two nieces and six nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Daria Cusano. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at SS Peter Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 56 Park Avenue, Meriden.

Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery. Family and friends may call at SS Peter & Paul Orthodox Church on Wednesday morning prior to the service from 9 to 10 a.m. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to SS Peter Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 56 Park Avenue, P.O.
