OBITUARY Mary Drew February 20, 1949 – October 10, 2018 Mary Ellen Drew, 69, of Cromwell, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Born in Hartford on February 20, 1949, she was the daughter of the late William J. Drew, Sr. and Rose (Solomson) Drew. Mary was a 1968 graduate of Hartford Public High School and worked for many years as a telephone operator for Southern New England Phone Company.

She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, New York Giants and Green Bay Packers. A loving sister, aunt and great-aunt, Mary will be forever missed by her two brothers, Stephen Drew and William J. Drew, Jr.; two sisters, Kathy Connelly and Janice Chase and her husband Robert; eight nieces and nephews, Stephen M. Drew and his wife Teresa, Jeffery Drew, Erin Bergeron and her husband Steven, Ashley Chase, Katherine Chase, Jodi Connelly and her husband Michael Wojas, Keri Connelly and Michael Connelly, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. Mary also leaves behind special friends Patricia McMahon, John Connelly and others.

Mary was predeceased by her brother, Robert M. Drew and sister-in-law, Patricia Drew. Funeral services and burial will be private. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
