Mary Ellen Ahearn Durso of Wallingford died on October 15, 2018 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. She was born in New Haven on February 1, 1938 to the late John and Mary Malone Ahern. Mary Ellen worked in the Social Services Department for the City of New Haven.

She is the mother of Christine Durso, proud grandmother of Reilly Owens and sister of the late Donald and Michael Ahearn. She is also survived by her two dogs Rico and Zoey. Visiting hours will be Friday morning from 9-10:30am in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Pl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Fatima Church 382 Hope Hill Road Wallingford at 11am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers and make memorial contributions to Regency House Recreation Fund 181 E. Main St. Wallingford, CT 06492.
