Mary Lee (Keen) Hylton age 79 of Ashland, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday June 12, 2018 at Grant Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Rowe, Virginia on June 28, 1938 the daughter of the late Roby and Zella (Street) Keen. She spent her early years in Virginia before moving to Ohio in the late 1950’s.

On February 25, 1957 Mary was married to Larry Hylton. She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was well loved by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Most everyone called her Granny. Mary was a huge fan of the Cleveland Indians. Mary is survived by her husband of 61 years, Larry (Rondeau) Hylton.

Daughters, Marita Boothe of Ashland, Sheliah (Ron) Smith of Sylacauga, Alabama, Rhonda (Dave) Hay of Atwater, Ohio. Two sons also survive, Larry Hylton of Akron and Richard (Annie) Hylton of Strongsville, Ohio. Eight grandchildren also survive, Joseph (Tricia) Hylton of Ashland; Jessica (Patrick) Vaughan of Tallmadge; Cassie (Steve) Darmon of Lakewood; Karina Hnat of Strongsville; Andrew Hnat of Strongsville; Ike Smith of Akron and Richard (Angela) Hylton of Jackson, Michigan.

Three great grandchildren also survive, Easton Hylton, Brooke Zehner and Phoebe Hylton. One brother, Donald (Violet) Keen of Gainesville, Virginia and one sister Georgia Johnson of Honaker, Virginia also survive as do several nieces and nephews, extended family, church friends and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heyl Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Tracy officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ashland County Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday June 19, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Mary’s name to either of the following organizations: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.
