Obituary for Mary L. Olson Mary L. Olson age 64, of Wanamingo died on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at her Riverview Group Home in Wanamingo. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 11:00 AM at United Redeemer Lutheran Church, 560 West 3rd Street, Zumbrota with Rev. Dr. Marggi J. Pleiss-Sippola officiating.

Burial will be in the Zumbrota Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Mary Louise Olson was born on December 1, 1953 in Zumbrota, MN to Melroy and Shirley (Langsdorf) Olson.

Mary grew up on the family farm and had a love for being outdoors and the farm animals. Mary enjoyed being around people, had many friends and had a contagious giggle. Mary lived in Hayfield and Zumbrota and for the past fourteen years has resided in a Riverview Group Home in Wanamingo.

She enjoyed the activities at Pro Act in Zumbrota and also loved music and trips to the Dairy Queen. The staff and roommates at Riverview were her extended family and friends. Mary is survived by one brother, Ken (Lynn) Olson of Pine Island; one sister, Wanda (Dave) Samuelson of Hayfield; five nieces and nephews and many friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Melroy in 1975 and her mother, Shirley in 2007. Mary was a quiet, gentle soul. Blessed be her memory.
