The daughter of Joseph Calvert Adams and Evelyn Dosha (Watson) Adams, she was born March 20, 1945 in Fort Worth, Texas. Mary worked for many years as a nurse’s aide.

She married Kenneth Edward Stanton on January 8, 1971 in Miami, Oklahoma. Mary was a longtime member of the St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Norman. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts, crocheting, sewing, quilting, and watching Ghost Adventures.

Mary’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Tracy Lee Stanton; and an infant brother. Mary is survived by her husband, Ken Stanton, of Bridge Creek; four daughters, Tina Lynn Stanton of Bridge Creek, Karen McDermott of New Mexico, Ann Ditlow and her husband, Thomas, of Colorado, and Carolsue Madron and her husband, Tooter, of Ada; ten grandchildren, Rebbekkah Harper and her husband, Brian, of Tinker AFB, Kendrah Stanton and Chris Kellogg of Del City, Joshuah Stanton and his wife, Shyann, of Blanchard, Melissa Jackson and her husband, Chad, of New Mexico, Michael McDermott of Colorado, Megan Ashcraft and her husband, Anderson, of New Mexico, Rachel Beckworth of Ada, Christy Porterfield of Ada, Rusty Davis of Ada, and Brandon Ditlow of Colorado; seven great grandchildren; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 27, 2018, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM in the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
