Mary Elizabeth Snowden, 87, also known as “Libby” to her many friends and family, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Pelham Medical Center, Greer. Mrs. Snowden was born on April 28, 1931 in Florence County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Wilma Poston. She was the owner of Libby’s Florist in Lake City for 60 years.

Her love and passion for flowers, gardening, art and family, showed in her beautiful design work and in all the lives she touched over the years. Mrs. Snowden leaves behind a loving sister, Willette McCutcheon; nieces and nephews, Mary Frances (James) Snow, Mack (Freda) McCutcheon, Fran Yoo, Charles Snow, Jean Wood, Jessica McCutcheon and Matthew McCutcheon. Libby was predeceased by her husband, Wattie Ervin Snowden and a brother, Charles Poston.

Graveside service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Lake City Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cameron United Methodist Church, c/o Grainger Davis, 1531 N. Camerontown Road, Lake City, SC 29560.
