Barbara Prosser Waters, 69, died Sunday, May 19, 2019, at her home in Effingham, SC. Mrs. Waters was born on August 29, 1949 in Florence County, daughter of the late Eugene Parnell Prosser and Dorothy Lee Stone Prosser. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shiloh Church of God of Prophecy in Coward where she enjoyed singing and working in the fellowship hall.

Nothing gave her heart more pleasure than spending time with her family. She was first married to the late Willie Jeffords and then to the late Jerry Waters. She is survived by her children, Angelia (Ronnie) Carter, Willie “Porky” (Brenda) Jeffords all of Effingham and Betty (Brent) Stanton of Cades; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; sisters; Rosa (Chester) Cox of Murrells Inlet, Libby Drew of Timmonsville and Katie (John) Jones of Effingham; and brother; Ricky (Georgia) Prosser of Effingham.

Mrs. Waters was preceded in death by her brother, Herman Prosser and her great grandson, Donald Carter. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 –11:00 AM, prior to the services at the funeral home.
