Obituary for Mary Lou Jarolimek Mary Lou Jarolimek February 14, 1943 – October 18, 2018 Wenatchee, WA Mary Lou Jarolimek, 75, a 52-year Wenatchee resident, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Central Washington Hospital. She was born on February 14, 1943, in Park Ridge, Illinois, to the late John and Mary (Clayson) Ross. She was raised in Park Ridge, Illinois, and graduated from the Maine East High School in 1961.

She shuttled rental cars for Avis car rental and she later worked in the Hilton at the Midway Airport. She met Paul Stephen Jarolimek and they were later married on April 16, 1966, in North Dakota. They briefly moved to Ohio where her husband went to work for GTE.

Later that year, they were transferred with GTE to Wenatchee, WA. She was a stay-at-home mom until her children were in school. She became secretary for her husband’s New York Life Insurance Agency.

Later, she became an insurance agent with her husband. In 1980, they started Mission Square Restaurant, where Shakti’s is now located. They operated their restaurant until 1988, when they sold to the Stevens.

She then worked at David Rodstall’s until 1993. She became the manager of the Eagles Lodge when it was located on 9th Street, and at the same time, she continued to work in their insurance agency. In 1996, she became a legal secretary for William “Bill” Smith Attorney’s Office and worked there until 2014.

She has since remained in Wenatchee. She volunteered at Town Toyota Center for the Wenatchee Wild games, she was an ambassador for the Wenatchee Valley Senior Center and a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed NASCAR and watching the Wenatchee Wild.

In 2012, she purchased a motorhome and traveled to six tracks in 2 weeks on the NASCAR circuit. She is survived by her children: Paul S. Jarolimek II, Suzie (Matt) McColm, and Leon “Lee” (Bobby) Jarolimek, all of Wenatchee, WA; grandchildren: Taylor Jarolimek-Harvey, of Malaga, WA, Dakota Jarolimek, Anastasia Jarolimek, Nicholas “Nick” McColm, Jon Orendor and James Jarolimek, all of Wenatchee, WA, and one great-grandson, Aiden Orendor, of Spokane, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul S. Jarolimek in 2002 and two brothers: Jay and Bruce Ross.
