Obituary for Robert K “Bob” Burnham Robert K. Burnham December 29, 1952 – December 19, 2018 Wenatchee, WA Robert “Bob” Burnham, 65, a lifelong Wenatchee valley resident, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA, following a sudden illness. He was born on December 29, 1952, in Wenatchee, WA, son of the late Orville and Roberta (Gilbert) Burnham. He was raised in East Wenatchee, WA, and graduated from Eastmont High School.

He continued his education at Multnomah Bible college in Portland, OR. He returned to make his home in Wenatchee and soon thereafter went to work in Housekeeping, Shipping & Receiving, PC Education, and lastly the Engineering department of Central Washington Hospital. He retired in June of 2012 after having worked at the hospital for over 38 years.

He married Kathy Hyatt on May 9, 1987, in East Wenatchee on their 10th-week anniversary of dating. They made their home together in Wenatchee along with his two boys, Bailey and Riley. Bob was an accomplished musician and songwriter.

He played piano from age 7, and later guitar and bass. “Bad Bob Burnham” played and sang in many local bands, including Oaxaca, Toons, and Switch. He enjoyed riding his Harley with friends, doing woodworking in his shop, watching sports, and spending time with visitors on his back porch.

He is survived by his wife: Kathy; children: Bailey and Riley; stepson: Jeff Hughes; sister: Janet Rumford; brother: Levoy; grandchildren: Jerrod, Jaxson, Sonya, Cody, and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his parents: Orville and Roberta; sister: Donna, and stepson: Andy. A Memorial Service, officiated by Chaplain Scott Langager, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019, at Heritage Memorial Chapel, 19 Rock Island Road, East Wenatchee, WA.
