Mary Madeline Havel, 92, daughter of Eugene & Lucy (Snook) Barrett, was born October 25, 1925 in Lorimor, Iowa. She passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the New Homestead in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She attended Menlo High School.

On April 15, 1949, she married Eldon Havel in Wahoo, Nebraska. Eldon was a postal clerk in Omaha, Nebraska for 26 years. They lived around Omaha and Council Bluffs until after his retirement.

They then moved to Casey, Iowa to be close to family.
