Obituary of Mary Embry On October 20, 1927, Mary Elizabeth Embry burst forth on the earth, beginning her journey back to her Jesus. On July 10, 2018, 6:30 a.m., at University Nursing Center in Upland, she finished this journey. She was born in Marion to William and Pearl (Henline) Embry, who preceded her in death.

Mary was active in Civil Air Patrol, Central Christian Church in Marion, and the Easter Pageant Chorus. She was a nurse’s aide at the Marion VA Medical Center and Emily E. Flinn Community. Some of her favorite hobbies were doing needlework, photography, reading, and genealogy.

She leaves behind one brother, Paul (Pat) Embry, Upland; sister-in-law, Ellen Embry, Warren; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, George, and Richard; a sister-in-law, Lucille; two nephews, Matthew and Jayme; and one niece, Leah. Visitation for Mary will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave.

, Marion, IN. Immediately following the visitation, family and friends will say their farewells in a funeral service which begins at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Ron Forsythe. Interment will follow at Estates of Serenity.
