Obituary of Nyla Hatfield Nyla Jane Hatfield, 77, Swayzee, went to be with the Lord at 10:11 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born in Marion on March 1, 1941, to the late Charles and Mildred (Williams) Holman. Nyla was a 1959 graduate of Marion High School.

On September 17, 1961, she married Jerry Hatfield, and she committed her life to serving her husband and family in their home. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially enjoyed camping. Nyla was a member of First Landmark Baptist Church in Kokomo.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jerry; sons, Rodney (Linda) Hatfield, Colorado, and Jeffrey Hatfield, Marion; grandson, Ryan (Jennifer) Hatfield, New Mexico; sisters, Lois (late William) DeMarcus and Marilyn (Don) Fields; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Joanne, Jim, Dick, and John. The family will receive visitors from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with Nyla’s funeral service beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Rybolt Chapel, 314 N. Washington St., Swayzee, IN.

Pastor Bob Morphew will be officiating with burial following at Marion National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana, 10590 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46920. Online condolences may be made at www.
