Obituary Mauricia Gallegos Garcia September 12, 1945 – February 8, 2019 Mauricia Gallegos Garcia surrendered herself to the loving arms of our Father in Heaven after a fourteen year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was surrounded by her Beloved family as she left this world including her Son David Garcia, Daughter Annette Briley and her Son in Law Kevin Briley, and is now free to join those who have gone ahead of her to be whole and happy. We are rejoicing and reflecting on the life she led and her service to others.

Mauricia was one of 15 children born to Refugia and Manuel Gallegos. She met and married Ricardo Garcia Jr, of Boerne and raised her family in Del Rio and returned to Boerne with her Husband. Mauricia spent 26 years enjoying a career in Nursing, the majority of which she spent taking care of the Elderly.

She was kind, selfless and completely devoted to taking care of those around her. She is preceded in Death by her Parents Manuel and Refugia; Husband Ricardo; her Sister Antonia Herrera; and her Brothers, Alfredo, Oscar, Jose Angel and Juan Manuel (Red) Gallegos. Mauricia was the epitome of Love and Grace and she will be dearly missed by so many family and friends but most especially by her Children Annette and David and her Grandchildren Matthew, Richard and Savannah, who knew her lovingly as “Nana”.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service at Boerne Cemetery.
