Obituary for Michael James Burke Michael James Burke, 57 of Cross Lanes passed away Monday, November 12, 2018. Born July 26, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York, he was preceded in death by his father Edward T. Burke. Michael worked in the trucking industry for over 20 years and was a Catholic by faith.

He was also an avid fan of the Rolling Stones. He is survived by his children, Alexandra, Rory and Aidan of IN; mother, Joan F. Burke of Cross Lanes; sister, Maura of Nitro; brothers, Timothy (Emily) of Montrose, NY, Thomas (Diane) of Hurricane, Kevin (Annmarie) of Mahopac, NY, Sean (Christy) of St. Albans and Edward (Lydia) of Kearneysville; many nieces, nephews, and many other extended family and friends. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Nitro.

Burial will follow the service in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Friday at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
