Obituary for Ruth E. Jones Ruth E. Jones, 88, of St. Albans went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 19, 2018 at residence. She was born in Charleston to the late Emmett C. and Freda E. French Harkins. She was also preceded in death by her son, Douglas D. Jones; sisters, Maxine Dean, Marcine Townsend, Juanita Church and Betty Berthold; brothers, Carl, Dick, Frank, and Russell Harkins.

Ruth was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, St. Albans for over 6o years. She was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, class of 1949. Surviving are her loving husband, William D. Jones; sister, Carole Coiner of Bishop, GA and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans with Rev. Dr. Ed Grant officiating. Entombment will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. The family would like to give a very special thank you to the caregivers, David and Paulette Reed, her niece, Pam Billups, for all there loving care during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Andrew United Methodist Church, In Memory of Ruth E. Jones, 815 Kanawha Terrace, St. Albans, WV 25177.
