Michael’s Obituary Michael Kent Dyer, born in Dallas, Texas on February 24, 1947, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas, surrounded by family. Mike was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. He will be greatly missed by them and his many friends.

He grew up first in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. The family then moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where Mike graduated from W. B. Ray High School. Mike enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served in Vietnam with the U.S. Navy Mobile Construction Battalion 4 (SEABEES CAN DO!

) and aboard the U.S.S. Tanner. After returning home he earned his degree in accounting from Texas A&I University Kingsville and had a successful CPA practice in Corpus Christi for many years. He leaves behind a daughter, Jessica Dyer; grandchildren Jasmine and Hannah Farrel and Alexander Horvath; sister Leslie (Reggie) Jackson; nephews Clay (Dawn) Jackson and Jeremy (Erin) Jackson and great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Southside Community Church, 3346 Airline Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78414, followed by military honors at 11:00 a.m. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410. Flowers may be sent to Southside Community Church.
