Michael L. Smith, age 57, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 2:27 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Michael was born September 19, 1961, in Evansville, IN, to Ronald Smith and Marsha (Shippee) Swain. He graduated from Bosse High School in 1979 and attended Indiana State University and Ivy Tech Community College.

Michael was an automobile enthusiast and rare car collector. He is survived by his mother, Marsha Swain of Evansville; brother, Gregory Smith of Louisville, KY; and uncles, Brian Owen and Dwight Owen, both of Evansville. He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Smith.

Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Al Amstutz officiating. Burial will be Private. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until service time, Monday, January 21, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
