MICHAEL’s Obituary Michael R. Chornoby: 77 years old of Fox Lake, IL formerly of Algonac, MI passed away peacefully Wednesday January 23, 2019 at Northwestern McHenry Hospital, McHenry, IL. He was born September 22, 1941 in Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada the son of the late Michael and Mary (nee’ Dutka) Chornoby, growing up in Roseville, MI and settling in Illinois in 1987. Mike had worked as a salesman in the Hydraulic & Pneumatic field all his career.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed: golfing, fishing, gardening, snowmobiling, boating, and watching NASCAR. On June 16, 1962 he married Betty Michalski (O’Melia) at Grace Episcopal Church, Mt. Clemens, MI.

Survivors include: his wife Betty; two children: Kurt (Karen) Chornoby of Macomb, MI and Michele (Craig) Jordan of Fox Lake, IL; four grandchildren: Derek (Michelle) Jordan, Ashley Chornoby, Connor Jordan, and Zachary Chornoby; and many friends. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until 3PM Sunday January 27, 2019 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL 60002.

Interment will be private. Those desiring may make donations to the Antioch Women’s Club, PO Box 282, Antioch, IL 60002, in Mike’s memory. Please sign the online guest book for Mike at www.
