DAVID’s Obituary David L. Burton: 76 years old of Lindenhurst, IL passed away peacefully Thursday February 14, 2019 at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. He was born October 6, 1942 in Moundsville, WV the son of the late William and Dorothy (neé Smith) Burton, living in Mundelein and Vernon Hills, IL before settling in Lindenhurst in 1996. Before his retirement, Dave had worked for many years as a Regional Field Manager for AC Nielsen Company, Northbrook, IL.

Dave was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed: fishing, reading, listening to music and especially being with his family. On November 12, 1966 he married Sally Karpiel in McMechen, WV. Survivors include: his wife of 52 years, Sally; three children: Vicki (Brett) Van Slochteren of Antioch, IL, Lisa (James) Burton-West of Minneapolis, MN, and David Burton of Lindenhurst, IL; a granddaughter Ashley; great-granddaughter Brooklyn; his four-legged grandbabies: Scrappy Ann, Farkle, Birdie, and Gillie; and close friends.

Funeral Services and interment in Millburn Cemetery, Old Mill Creek, IL will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association are appreciated in Dave’s memory.
