LOWELL’s Obituary Lowell D. W. Hanson: 57 years old of Bristol, WI passed away Friday February 15, 2019 at St. Luke Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI. He was born February 15, 1962 in Fosston, MN the son of the late Blain and Jean (neé Hagen) Hanson, living in Bemidji, MN and Champaign, IL before settling in Bristol in 1997. Lowell had worked as an auditor with the Department of the Treasury for the past 10 years, and had made a career in the accounting field.

He was a member of the First Christian Church, Kenosha, WI and enjoyed: fantasy football from the first league with his oldest son Nick to playing with all the boys and their friends, taking Zac to his shooting events, watching Ole play any sport and hanging with the parents, visiting Alena at college to watch her swim, getting a concrete mixer from Sam at Culvers, playing euchre with the card party crew, and family trips to Florida. Lowell loved his family and was always an active Dad with his children’s activities. On May 29, 1993 he married Amy McPhee in Bemidji, MN.

Survivors include: his wife Amy; five children: Nicholas Hanson of Kenosha, WI, Alena Hanson, Samuel Hanson, Zachary Hanson, and Ole Hanson all of Bristol, WI; eight siblings: Cheryl (Marlly) Rue, Bonnie (Roger) Hemmingsen, Barb Lee, Bruce (Denise) Hanson, Richard (Liz) Hanson and Kevin (Ann) Hanson, all of Fosston, MN and Lorie (Kevin) Erpelding and Roxanne (Bob) Aaberg both of Bemidji, MN; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by two siblings: Harlan and Marilyn. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019, 4:30 pm at First Christian Church 13022 Wilmot Rd.

Kenosha, WI 53142, with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm. Interment will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH.
